Clashes Continue in Gaza; Egypt Sends Emissaries To Calm Tensions

Hundreds of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip arrived at the southern border fence with Israel on Tuesday to engage in violent protests once again. The protesters threw Molotov cocktails and improvised explosive devices at security forces, while they lit rows of tires on fire, polluting the air once again for the residents of the region on both sides of the fence. The IDF responded by utilizing non-lethal riot dispersing ammunition.

Two explosive devices panted by terrorists was specifically aimed and detonating under an IDF vehicle on duty near the fence. The devices exploded on Tuesday evening, luckily no one was injured during the incident.

With the rising violence and clashes emanating from Hamas instructions, an Egyptian envoy comprised of 50 diplomats and security personnel, arrived in Gaza today in an attempt to discuss the option of calming the tensions along the border with Israel. The visit is in preparation for an official visit of the Egyptian Intelligence Minister, Abbas Kamel. Kamel will be attempting to get the upper echelon of Hamas to agree to a calming of activities against Israel. He will also be discussing arranging a prisoner swap between the countries.
