A parole board on Tuesday, 5 Kislev, accepted the prosecution’s position and determined that a former MK from the Arab List, Basel Ghattas, was not worthy of early release from prison at this stage.

This was because he was not included in a prison treatment and rehabilitation program and did not express sincere regret for his actions.

Ghattas was sent to jail after being convicted of transferring cell phones to security prisoners. He entered prison during the summer of 2017, to being serving his two-year term.
