Infant’s Blood Tests At Assaf HaRofeh Hospital Point To Ecstasy


According to officials at Assaf HaRofeh Hospital, an 8-month-old baby is undergoing extensive tests, which, as a result of previous tests which raised suspicion of blood poisoning, the presence of drugs, reportedly ecstasy. At the hospital, they stressed that it was not yet possible to determine what had happened, and that the baby was in good condition.

The Israeli police received a report on an eight-month-old baby who was brought to Assaf HaRofeh Medical Center on Sunday after feeling ill. Police add, “Medical tests conducted on the baby raised the suspicion that there were signs of the presence of suspected MDMA drug in his blood. The parents of the baby, ages 29 and 30, residents of the area, were brought for questioning and during the day they will be required to undergo they will be probed as suspects. They will also be brought before a judge at the Rishon L’Tzion Magistrate’s Court for arraignment”.
