The Israel Electric Company (IEU) reports it is improving the reliability of the electric grid in Mevasseret Tzion by significantly upgrading the electricity infrastructure in the Castel neighborhood of the city. The new infrastructure is expected to improve the reliability of the electricity supply and upgrade the service provided to customers

The IEC has set up a new transformation station on Kramim Street in Mevasseret Tzion this week, as part of work to upgrade the electricity infrastructure in the Castel neighborhood. The works are being carried out as part of the development of construction and an increase in the standard of living in the neighborhood, which has created a strain on existing electricity infrastructures.

Therefore, IEC has embarked on an extensive operation to upgrade the network. The complex project includes laying cables and replacing networks and electricity poles. The work began last month and is expected to be completed by the beginning of December.

Moshe Cohen, director of the Jerusalem district of the Israel Electric Corporation, said: “This is a large and complex project that requires blocking of streets and working on an operational network, so we do it during the nights until the early morning hours to minimize the damage to the routine of residents. The new network is expected to improve the reliability of the electricity supply to the local residents and to enable the supply of available electricity with efficient and quality service.”
