VIDEOS/PHOTOS: MVA in Israel Kills Grandfather, Granddaughter Seriously Injured

A man was R”L killed on Sunday morning, 1 Teves, in a collision on Route 2410 between Kibbutz Ein HaShloshah and Kibbutz Kissufim in the Gaza border area. Two vehicles collided head-on. The cause of the crash is under investigation. Two persons were left seriously injured in the accident, a nine-year-old girl who is a granddaughter of the fatality and another man in his 40s. The man killed in the accident was pronounced dead on the scene due to the extent of the trauma he sustained in the crash.

Magen David Adom reports the call for the accident came in at 7:17AM. The report adds the girl in serious condition suffered a serious head injury, and injuries to her upper body and was flown by MDA chopper to the trauma unit of Soroka Medical Center in Beersheva.

A spokesman for the Eshkol Regional Council reports the man killed was Aryeh Lahav, a resident of Kibbutz Nir in the area. He was a founder and elder of the community. His granddaughter was spending time with him over Chanukah.
