IDF Homefront Command Cuts Apps’ Access To Real Time Alerts

The Homefront Command is responsible for disseminating warnings against various threats. Spreading the warning is done through a variety of means, in order to reach as wide a exposure as possible in a short time.

One of the means used to disseminate the warning is the Homefront Command website, which enables the public to view all warnings in the country in real time, and also enables defining certain areas of interest in which to receive alerts.

Many private entities and entrepreneurs make use of the alerts posted on the command site for distribution to various applications.

Recently, complaints were received from citizens that false alarms had been sent to the users, leading to confusion, due to technical malfunctions in the privacy systems that are not under the responsibility and control of the Homefront Command. It should be added that even when these systems function properly, there is a delay in spreading the warning by the very method of connection to the source of information.

In light of the aforementioned reasons and considerations, the Homefront Command decided to prevent access to the site’s alert file. Those who wish to have access to the alert file for unique needs will turn to the Homefront Command alert department at the following address: [email protected]

Homefront Command officials emphasize there is an official app for providing real-time alerts in a focused and reliable manner, and therefore, it is recommended one use this app as an additional warning.
