Tehiilim: Condition of Yeshiva Bochur Drowning Victim Deteriorates


The condition of Chaim Yehuda Ben-Zikri, the 18-year-old yeshiva bochur who drowned during Pesach bein hazmanim and has been admitted to Schneider Children’s Hospital in Petach Tikvah, has deteriorated.

Chaim Yehuda learned in Yeshivat Ohelei Chaim, shiur gimmel, and while his friends have moved to yeshiva gedola, he remains in Schneider.

On Tuesday, January 1, 2019, his condition began to deteriorate and the family and friends from yeshiva have been mispallel for him at the Kosel as on Thursday, he is expected to undergo a surgical procedure.

The tzibur is asked to be mispallel for Chaim Yehuda ben Leah for a refuah shleima bsoch cholei am yisrael.

  1. Please stop using the word “drown” when talking about someone who is still alive and was dangerously underwater. I think you will find that drowning refers only to people who have died.
    Chaim Yehuda ben Leah should have refuah shleimah.
