Firebomb Attack Directed At Abu Dis Border Police Station


A firebomb was hurled at a border police base in Abu Dis on Tuesday, leading to efforts to apprehend those response. There were no injuries or damage caused in the attack.

Border police on Wednesday morning, January 9, 2019, operated in the area near the base, combing the brush as well as other activities. The efforts led to the discovery of three additional pipe bombs, which a border police spokesman explains appear to have been thrown towards the station, but apparently did not detonate for one reason or another. The accompanying photo shows one of those bombs.

Sappers were dispatched to the area to neutralize the pipe bombs.
