In her keynote address to a democracy conference in Qatar, Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni called for the release of captive IDF soldiers, stating their release is not a �political matter� but an issue of �human rights�.

Livni called on Israel�s neighbors, stating Israel is extending an outstretched hand to her neighbors in a call to release captive soldiers, Gilad Shalit, Eldad Regev and Ehud Goldwasser.

The real battle she explained is the one between the moderates and the extremists, making a clear reference to Iran.

The senior minister added that Gaza is an obstacle to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
