Report: AG Mandelblit to Indict Netanyahu on Charges in Three Cases Against Him

Multiple Israeli news outlets are reporting that Avichai Mandelblit, the Attorney General of Israel will publicize his decision tomorrow to bring charges against Prime Minister Netanyahu in three of the four cases against him.

According to the reports, Mandelblit will accept the recommendations of the police and file an indictment against Netanyahu in the case know as 4,000 (Bezeq -Walla) for the crime of bribery, pending a hearing. In the file 1,000 (Gifts from Melchin), Netanyahu will face charges of Breach of Trust. The file against Milchin looks like it will be dismissed.

In the file of 2,000 (Talks with Nuni Mozes) it appears that Netanyahu will face charges for a crime less than fraud, that of dealing surreptitiously and Breach of Trust. Mozes will seemingly be indicted for bribery pending a hearing.

Netanyahu’s office reacted to the news and issued a statement on Wednesday evening that said: “The claims of bribery are ridiculous. Prime Minister Netanyahu did not receive anything from Elovitch and didn’t give him anything. The issues of Walla are negligible and being trumpeted due to the elections. All of the decisions with regards to Bezeq were ratified by all of the necessary regulatory bodies and the Prime Minister acted without fault, just like the Justice Ministry decided in an official document. To accuse the Prime Minister of bribery due to two-and-a-half columns in an online newspaper is absurd and has no precedent in the history of the Israeli legal system. This house of cards will be crashing down soon”.

  1. There is hardly an influencial person, politician or Rabbi in Israel that hasn’t been indicted about some weird crime. The police have admitted they have information in file to arrest any influencial right wing or Rabbi in a moments notice. That’s just the way the country is run. We are waiting for Moshiach.
