Update On Condition Of Rocket Attack Victims; New Images Of Home Totally Destroyed [PHOTOS]


The 60-year-old woman who was moderately injured when a Hamas rocket slammed into a Moshav Mishmeret home in the Sharon region on Monday morning was transferred from Meir Hospital in Kfar Sava to Beilinson Hospital in Tel Aviv.

Professor Mike Dresher, chief of emergency medicine at Beilinson, told the media that the woman’s injury is in an “extremely sensitive place and we have to be ready to intervene immediately if there is a complication”.

Dresher lists her condition as stable, and adds she is not in any immediate danger.

The 6-month-old infant who sustained a light injury is remaining in Meir Hospital overnight for observation. His condition is listed as good/stable. The 12-year-old girl injured in the attack was admitted to the Orthopedic unit at Meir, and she will have to undergo surgery on her wounded leg to remove shrapnel.

The rocket launch from Gaza was detected at 5:22 AM Monday morning, March 25, 2019, and the rocket fired from southern Gaza slammed into a home where seven people were sleeping. The home sustained extremely heavy damage. B’chasdei Hashem, there was no loss of life. The family’s four dogs were killed in the attack.

Hamas denies it is responsible for the attack, which is says was launched “by mistake”.

As Israel prepares for a military operation, agricultural work in communities in rocket range of the border has been halted and the IDF Homefront Command has banned gatherings of larger than 300 people. In addition, area roads leading towards the Gaza border are being shut by the military.

In another medical update, the soldier who was very seriously wounded last week in the terrorist attack at Ariel Junction continues to improve. He too remains in Beilinson Hospital, as doctors battled to save his life and stabilize his condition over the period of a number of days.

Shira, the hospital spokesperson announced on Monday that his condition continues to improve, and he was moved from a surgical intensive care unit to a regular surgical unit bed.
