Liberal Hebrew U. Leftists Outraged That Itamar Ben-Givir Invited To Panel Discussion

There was controversy at the Hebrew University in preparation for a panel to be held this evening at the Faculty of Law, which will be attended by attorney Itamar Ben-Gvir of the Otzma Yehudit party.

Ben-Gvir was invited to a panel on Monday evening at 6:30 PM at the Hebrew University Faculty of Law on Mount Scopus.

Ben Givir’s invitation is causing great uproar among left-wing students, with representatives of the Meretz and Labor factions announcing that with Ben-Givir’s participation, they will boycott the panel. So much for freedom of speech and maintaining an educated dialogue on a university campus.

In addition, according to a Twitter report on KAN News, Arab students and students affiliated with the extreme left hung notices calling for the boycott of the panel, and even sent a letter to the Student Union calling on the association to cancel it. In the letter they wrote, among other things: “Because of the possibility that a dark and racist man will enter the campus, who does not reject the rhetoric of ethnic cleansing of some of the faculty’s students, you should cancel the panel.” They also announced that demonstrations would be held to prevent Ben-Givir from entering the faculty.

Attorney Itamar Ben-Givir said in response that “the hypocrisy and duplicity of the leftists day and night explain to us the need to contain different opinions and the virtues of pluralism and tolerance, once again exposed. It is expected from someone who contains the views of the university lecturer, Ofer Kasif, permitting the blood of IDF soldiers, which will also include the views of Itamar Ben-Givir.”
