The New Right Party: We’ll Run Again, With or Without Shaked

With the possibility of new elections looming on the horizon, Minister Naftali Bennet, whose New Right party failed to pass the minimum threshold to enter Knesset, is already preparing to run again. Party officials have released a statement that it will run again “with or without Ayelet Shaked”, who is expected to make an announcement during the Israel Bar convention which is taking place in Eilat.

The justice minister is expected to address the political crisis and the possibilities available to her as part of her speech at the Bar Association conference in Eilat, which began on Monday morning at 10:30AM.

The announcement by the New Right comes in light of assessments that Shaked will join another party after Bennet’s party did not pass the electoral threshold in the last elections. Sources close to Shaked claimed that she and Lieberman had been very friendly for a long time and had met many times in the past, in private, and there has also been contact with the Likud party.

According to a source in the Yisrael Beiteinu party, there is a scenario in which Shaked and Lieberman will run together, so he is not afraid of new elections.

It should be noted that a new poll conducted on Sunday night at the initiative of a political source has already examined the scenario of a joint run by Lieberman and Shaked in the next elections. According to that poll, Lieberman will double his political strength from five to ten seats.
