President Shimon Peres opened his remarks at the Jerusalem Facing Tomorrow Conference in the Jerusalem Convention Center in Hebrew, sending his wishes for a total recovery to the victims of the Chutzot Shopping Mall attack.

�They are tying to destroy Lebanon by Hizbullah and to destroy the Palestinians by Gaza. I do not know what will be in Lebanon but here, with us, it will not work,� stated Mr. Peres in a decided tone, adding �we remain determined and we will respond as necessary and continue the peace process.�

The president, who brought world leaders to Jerusalem to celebrate Israel�s 60th birthday received a standing ovation.
