“They wouldn’t let us leave the university,” Prof. Avi Kluger, a lecturer at Hebrew University told Yent. “I was in my car and they rerouted us to other exits. There were also people who couldn’t leave by foot. They told us that the road leading to Hadassah Hospital is closed and so is the way to Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, where they were throwing stones.”

“In the last hour, violence broke out at the gates to the university at its Mount Scopus campus,” a Hebrew University statement said. “Police arrived and took control of the scene. During the violent incidents, students and staff were instructed to remain inside the buildings in order to ensure their safety. Neither staff members nor students were injured.”
