Israel Confirms 7 Omicron Cases, Including Mother & Children

Israel’s Health Ministry said Friday it has confirmed seven cases of the new omicron variant of the coronavirus, stoking fears of a pending surge in infections. Four of the confirmed cases are unvaccinated individuals who had recently returned from South Africa.

According to a Jerusalem Post report, the four new cases are members of one family, a mother and her children.

The other three include two people who returned from South Africa and from Britain and who had received two doses and a booster shot of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine. The third person returned from Malawi and had been inoculated with the AstraZeneca vaccine.

Israel was one of the first countries to close its borders to all non-Israeli citizens following the discovery of the first case of the omicron variant last week. Israelis from abroad are allowed to return home.

The ministry said it has a “high suspicion” that another 27 identified cases of the coronavirus are also the new variant. Eight of them are individuals who had either traveled abroad or been in contact with a recent arrival who has tested positive for omicron.

The rest could not be connected to foreign travel — an indication the omicron variant could now be spreading within Israeli towns and cities.

On Thursday, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett — in conjunction with Israel’s Ministry of Health — drafted a set of new measures designed to fend off the spread of the omicron variant. These include fines of 2,500 shekels, or about $790, for returning Israeli travelers who fail to take a second PCR test, as well as an initiative to promote vaccination in schools and by local authorities.

Israel had announced it would use the country’s controversial phone tracking technology to help trace possible cases of the new coronavirus variant. That plan was however halted on Thursday, following widespread criticism that it would violate individuals’ privacy rights.

Israel, a country of over 9 million people, has reported 8,199 deaths from the coronavirus since the start of the pandemic. Most of its population — over 6.3 million people — has received at least one dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, and more than 4 million Israelis have received a booster.

  1. Basically what we have in this story is 3 out of 7 people were “properly vaccinated” and still got covid. And there’s no info if the other four were not partially “vaccinated”.

But 3 out of 4 is proof that this garbage “vaccine” is all about lining the pockets of many influential people and has nothing to do with preventing the spread of the virus.

  2. It will be interesting to watch how many 10 year old girls get harassed by Israel’s “elite” police force for eating ice cream on the street with a mask pulled down this time around. They’re all a bunch of shoitim v’shoitois, all playing along in the fear-mongering game.

Some hard facts: 1) all quarantining, lockdowns, masks, vaccines, etc. have not (nor were scientifically expected to) made a dent in the ultimate spread of the virus. 2) The omicron variant has a spread factor (ie rate of infection spread) 1/3 of that of the Delta variant (as reported by WND). 3) The omicron virus has not been shown to have more than low symptoms (as reported by JTN, WND, and others), so its threat level is not really relevant. 4) To effectively battle the virus, people need to be offered (or at least allowed to take) existing medications which have been shown to work and are otherwise harmless, but in Israel the only option offered is a vaccine or a ventilator, thereby causing much higher than necessary death rates.

But those Chareidi 10 year olds with the ice cream, they’re really a problem…

  3. Omicron = Moronic. It’s moronic to shut down travel and close borders for such mild symptoms.

I have a different name for the variants. The first one was the WuFlu. The next was Compel. The next was Enforced Compliance. The next was Tyranny. The last will be the Jack Boot of Marxism.
