The MKs of United Torah Judaism met with Hagaon HaRav Gershon Edelstein on Motzei Shabbos in his home on Bnei Brak to consult with him about various issues related to the fragile political situation.
HaRav Edelstein urged the MKs to work toward forming a new government in the current Knesset rather than going to another election.
It was the first meeting of the UTJ MKs with HaRav Edelstein since the petirah of HaGaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky, z’tl. [UTJ chairman Moshe Gafni met privately with the Rosh Yeshivah during that time].
During the meeting, HaRav Edelstein spoke out against the Flag March taking place on Sunday, Yom Yerushalayim, According to a report by Walla‘s Chareidi affairs reporter, HaRav Edelstein asked the MKs: “Do they not understand that it’s unnecessary and dangerous?”
According to another source, HaRav Edelstein also inquired about the possibility of dissuading Jews from visiting Har HaBayis with the fact that it provokes the umos ha’olam. The MKs responded that it’s not possible.

A little refreshing
We as Jews have to increase Hashem’s presence in this world. We have to love each other and love Hashem with ever-increasing happiness and gratitude. We are a loving, thinking and kind people. Doing an act of kindness for the love of Hashem and for the love of one’s fellow is true happiness and time well spent. Time is precious. Spend it in the wisest of ways. I don’t understand what a “parade” accomplishes. We should always have humility. We should only be proud of doing the will of Hashem, which includes learning Torah and acts of kindness.
The Zionists are not “שרים ומלכים” because their State is not a State. It has no din of dina diMalchusa dina, and is, in the Chazon Ish’s words, a band of robbers.
And don’t they realize that violating safety protocols at Meron is dangerous and can cost lives?

First, it is the Zionists that killed those Jews in Meron last year, not the Chareidim disregarding “safety protocols”. Second, even if your libel were true, it would still be irrelevant to this story.
But the violence in the streets between the Gur factions is necessary and safe? certainly not worrisome or a Chillul Hashem…..

Unnecessary by itself, yes, but necessary as a signal to the Arabs we are masters of the land. Dangerous? Not showing mastery of the land, and not removing the Arabs is the most dangerous of all. Removing them would take a couple of weeks and bye bye Arab problem. The issue is only when we fear to do the mitzvos, and especially fearing to do the mitzva of conquering Israel, mentioned 86 times in the Torah.
