Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Gillerman is ending his current assignment. Assuming his post will be Prof. Gabriella Shalev, currently the rector of the Ono Academic College.

On Thursday, Gillerman hosted many members of the diplomatic corps as they bid him farewell. Among those who attended the event in his Manhattan home were Arab diplomats, including representatives of Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, and Oman.

Other notables were also present, including Nobel Prize Laureate Eli Wiesel, Mathew Bronfman Barbara Walters, Mort Zuckerman and Malcolm Hoenlein.
