At the beginning of the levaya of HaGaon HaRav Baruch Mordechai Ezrachi, z’tl, on Friday, the Mashgiach of Ateres Yisrael, HaGaon HaRav Yitzchak Luxenberg, appointed his only son HaGaon HaRav Ben-Tzion Ezrachi, as the new Rosh Yeshivah.

Rav Luxensberg said: “The Rosh Yeshivah z’tl, the Ba’al Birchas Mordechai, requested in his will that his son, HaGaon HaRav Ben-Tzion, will fill his place as the head of the yeshivah and continue his path.”

HaRav Luxensberg asked Hashem to assist the new Rosh Yeshivah in his task and wished him “Mazal Tov.'”

The Mashigach added: “Hakadosh Baruch Hu should give him siyata dishmaya and strength and the yeshivah will continue to flourish and now we’ll have a father in Shamayim. He was niftar on the yarzheit of Rochel Emeinu and רחל מבכה על בניה. We need tefillos. Rosh Yeshivah – stand before the Kisei Hakavod and daven for the children. There’s a promise – ושבו בנים – that they should have the tzurah of banim. You gave us the keilim -mesikus haTorah, ahavas hamussar, chiyus.”
