Peleg Yerushalmi Protestors Shut Streets, Rip Down Memorials For IDF Soldiers, Spit At Women

Members of the Pelerg Yerushalmi staged a protest in Jerusalem against the arrest of IDF draft evaders, blocking the intersection of Sarei Yisrael and Jaffa Streets and disrupting light rail operations. Initially, protest organizers announced plans to demonstrate near Route 4, but later changed the location, catching police forces off guard.

Simultaneously, near Route 433 close to Modiin, police stopped a bus transporting another group of activists en route to the Jerusalem protest. The demonstrators briefly blocked the road after disembarking but dispersed shortly afterward.

Videos below show how protestors (some of them young children) spit at Frum women dressed Tzniyus and called them “Shiksas”.

Another video shows a group tearing down posters of memorial for IDF soldiers who lost their lives in Gaza. Some kicked the signs.

A STAR IS BORN! A כוכב from the Peleg Yerushalmi at todays protests making Hashem proud. 🤡

Israel Police stated, “A short time ago, a protest regarding IDF conscription began at the Sarei Yisrael-Jaffa intersection in Jerusalem. The protesters blocked the intersection and the light rail tracks to traffic.”

  1. Breaking: Yeshiva World News now changing its name to Anti Yeshiva News! Like seriously your articles are pathetic! Get a life and stop being an anti semite!

  2. Omg a woman who is dressed tznius got spat on omg omg!! that’s insane!!! such newsworthy stuff from the anti semites editors of this website. You may disagree with how they protest but to put down people who actually care about Judaism is plain old wickedness.

  3. That’s ywn standards of genius for women…lol.

The Israeli government needs to leave the Chareidm alone.

  4. YWN, are you not aware that publicizing actions that could be seen as a chilul H” (let alone deliberately framing them as such!) is part of the prohibitions of lashon hara – which chazal tell us is “keneg kulam” in all the aveirot of the Torah??

  5. Actually, they are also welcome to move to Lakewood, whose Roshei Yeshiva are cheering them on and who now dominate the American Mo’etzes.

  6. YWN, the caption “dressed Tzniyus” was not entirely correct.
While there is no excuse in the world for spitting on a Bas Yisroel and a Tzelem Elokim, no matter how they may be dressed, and certainly not on a frum lady who is covered head-to-toe, who most likely considers herself someone who keeps the halacha stringently. But just a correction to the “tzniyus” caption: Although unfortunately many Yidden may trample on this halocha–or may have not even ever heard of it–the issur against wearing red clothing is an open Din in Shulchan Aruch. See Rema Y:D 178-1, and Halichos Bas Yisroel 7-3 in name of R’ Eliyashiv zt”l. I suggest that everone ask their own Rav for personal guidance.

  7. I wouldn’t come on here to comment about any individual, however, the caption by YWN on one of the clips is perplexing and worrisome to me.
“ Videos below show how protestors (some of them young children) spit at Frum women dressed Tzniyus and called them “Shiksas”. ”
Said video shows one woman (main character) dressed in a red dress. (We won’t speak about how tight or loose it was).
Tznius??!! Really?? Which Cheder Yingel AND MORE IMPORTANTLY, which Bas Yisroel wasn’t taught that famous Gemorah of ‘The Red Dress’?

YWN, Are your Moderators such Am’meratzim?

  8. There is something deeply insipid about YWN posting videos of obviously challenged Jewish men (in embarrassing circumstances) with clown emojis.

  9. To all the haters posting here, ask yourselves this question: is there anything in Judaism that you hold so hold so dearly that would cause you protest in the streets.??

  10. Kinsler, it would serve you well to make sure that you aren’t an Am Haaeretz yourself

  11. Once again, I am profoundly embarrassed that these “yeshiva bochurim” aka peleg protesters are considered Yidden. They are a total bizayon. They would accomplish much more, without a doubt, if they stayed in the beis hamedrash, perhaps conducting mishmaros of non-stop learning to be mevatel the gezayro. If they prioritize other activities to their learning, then they would do more for Klal Yisroel by going to the military, and protecting other Yidden by serving in the army. Not only are they leaving the beis hamedrash, but they are sinking into countless aveiros.

    1-Bitul Torah
    2-Histaklus asuros
    3-Being mevazeh others
    4-Chilul Hashem
    5-Violence

One can add to this list. I am ashamed of them. If my kids were here, I would not let them back into yeshivos, where demonstrations are deemed more important than learning. I also advocate for redirecting tzedokoh for yeshivos to those that do not tolerate such disgraceful behavior.

  12. these clowns are a busha.belong in jail.and their” leaders” who dont condemn vandalism and seem to have forgotten the values of aharon hakohen.what a great way to mekarev chilonim.

  13. Time for Israeli ICE to deport every 1 of of these Peleg parasites. Next time they deface the memory of a beloved Soldier הי”ד, time to deface the קבר of their Guru. Time to deport these scum of the land, so that they can no longer defile our beloved Israel nor our amazing מדינה.

  14. Yeah unfortunately today nobody knows the laws of modesty, it’s the most taboo topic there is. Most people think as long as they are covered it means it’s modest, but then there’s tightness and flashiness of the Garment itself. And then there’s modesty in speech and how one walks, and then there’s modesty of hair and level of makeup extremes. This is a topic that requires learning and most likely unless you’re an experienced educator don’t even know what’s permitted or not. So anyway it’s sad to see these boys not learning and wasting their time doing this, but on the other hand the other side is trying to assault their way of life and make Israel a non-religious state full of the modesty and corrupt abortion and homosexuality laws. Sometimes you have to stand up

  15. Notice that the protesters did not do this during bein hazmanim which may have provided a smidgen amount of cover. Instead they waited until they are supposed to be learning and instead show the world that there is nothing lishma in their actions. They are just filled with hate and want some fun.

  16. Why are so many people upset at YWN for posting? If these protesters believe they are doing the right thing and know it’s going to be broadcast in Israel, why can’t we also have a glimpse of what is going on?

  17. Yes, these yeshiva men certainly embody

  18. Yes, @rebEmes, agreed: This is a topic that requires learning and most likely unless you’re an experienced educator don’t even know what’s permitted or not.

I therefore suggest that you yourself study these laws and see how the woman who spat upon and cursed was absolutely living up to the halachos of tzniyus as understood within the halachic community of which she belongs and the area of Yerushalayim where she works. She has no obligation to dress according to the rules of a different community.

    I am astonished that you would think that these yeshiva guys are closer to the prophet Micha’s ideal (הִגִּיד לְךָ אָדָם מַה־טּוֹב וּמָה־יְהֹוָה דּוֹרֵשׁ מִמְּךָ כִּי אִם־עֲשׂוֹת מִשְׁפָּט וְאַהֲבַת חֶסֶד וְהַצְנֵעַ לֶכֶת עִם־אֱלֹהֶיךָ׃) than she is.

  19. Maybe some of the poskim, shasYidden, commenting here can enlighten me. Is there anywhere in Tanach or Shas where we find similar types of raucous demonstrations? This protest reminds of the peaceful protests of 2020 by the supporters of Black Lives Matter.

  20. MartinRN:
The problem with YWN posting this story is not that they posted it but how they posted it. YWN has nothing positive to say about these Jews who are trying to highlight Zionist shmad against Jews.

If you have only derision and scorn for these Jews but are full of admiration for the Zionists, then you just might be an idolatrous self-hating Jew.

  21. what torah are these people studying? because the torah that i learned was very clear: there are only 4 reasons to be exempt from the army, and neither studying torah not wearing a black hat were on the list. and why do they think that they’re more important than moshe rabbeinu? because when amalek attacked, moshe rabbeinu didn’t hide in his tent davening, or studying torah, he went out to participate. as an old man, he wasn’t much of a soldier, but he still had to take part, by lifting his hands.

  22. shloimeboruch:

You cannot in any way compare Zionist shmad to, liHavdil elef havdalos, Moshe Rabbeinu and his army.

The Torah states that your “camp” (going out to war) shall be holy and that you have to stay away from immorality and that you have to abhor idolatry and on and on.

The Zionist army is very obviously no place for a Jew.

  23. @HaKatan:
Yes, Yeshiva World should praise these Yeshiva Jews who are proving the argument of the Zionists as to why the government should refuse to continue supporting them.

  24. Wearing a tight, red dress is against halacha, the community one comes from is irrelevent. There are “frum” Bnei Akiva communities Rabbis who believe wearing pants are OK, that doesn’t make it halachically ok to wear pants. And neither is it halachically ok to wear such a tight, form-fitting dress as this lady was wearing.

There are many women dressed like this woman walking the streets of Yerushalayim and they don’t get spat at. This woman was the one who is running towards the protestors and screaming at them, so they are simply shouting back at her. They are not screaming at the woman wearing pants standing on the sidelines because she’s not screaming at them. The “Yeshiva World” should stop pointing their fingers and automatically condeming Chareidim.

I am pro Jews defending themselves and support the IDF because i feel that we Jews need to defend ourselves. HOWEVER, the FACT is that there is a the huge tarivos going on that is not right, to say the least, even for secular soldiers in the army. The fact that is that the religious needs of the Chareidim in the army is not respected by the army and the officers.

It is laughable how the am haratzim here bring up Tanach, as if Chareidim are “required” according to halacha to go fight. This is not the army of Dovid Hamalech. Not only do Chareidim not have a requirement not to fight in the IDF, they have a duty, due to the secular culture and the permissiveness, to fight their being drafted in the army.

Those in the Israeli government pushing for the Chareidi draft are sonei Yisroel, disgusting leftists. These are the same people putting their own soldiers in harms way by giving away land to the terrorists and making concessions to the terrorists and forcing the IDF’s fighting technique to be about saving “civilian” lives at the expense of the lives of their own soldiers. They have absolutely no right to drag the Chareidim into the army when they are not interested in protecting their soldiers already in the army.

The Jews have existed 2,000 in exile and throughout all these years we had no army. We Jews exist because we study and keep the Torah and mitzvos, period. And that is what these holy Jews are fighting for, to keep their purity and keep studying Torah. Baruch Hashem for these holy Jews fighting for their right to study Torah and to not be drafted into an impure environment.

  25. SHAME ON YOU ! SHAME ON YOU !
    THATS CALLED TZNIUS ????
STOP WITH THIS ANTI CHAREIDIM RETORRIC NOW !
OR CHANGE YOUR NAME TO “IDIOTIC ZIONIST NEWS”
SO EVERY ONE WILL KNOW TO STAY AWAY OF SUCH BIG ZIONISTS LIKE YOU
    KEEP SHAMED OR DO TSHUVA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
