SECURITY/DEFENSE:

*Today, Sunday, is day 131 of the virtual Gaza ceasefire.

*Today is Gilad Shalit’s 854th day in Hamas custody.

*IDF soldiers involved in counter-terror operations throughout Yehuda and Shomron on motzei Shabbos apprehended two suspects.

*A PA resident was taken into custody on motzei Shabbos after he tried to stab a policeman at a bus stop in front of the community of Lapid, on Route 446 in the Modi’in district. He was carrying to 15” knives when taken into custody.

*Police during the night (Saturday to Sunday morning) removed the Federman Farm in Chevron.

POLITICS, DOMESTIC & MORE:

*A fire erupted in the Akko Hesder Yeshiva on motzei Shabbos. The building is located in the Wolfson neighborhood of the city. There were no injuries. Fire marshals are investigating the cause of the blaze. Heavy damage was reported. Yeshiva officials suspect the blaze was the result of an arson attack.

*Bituach Leumi employees will launch sanctions on Sunday, closing branch offices to the public. Officials stress that payments will be deposited into the bank accounts of recipients on schedule.

*Isolated thunder showers and unseasonably cold weather expected in the north and center on Sunday, including the Yerushalayim area.
