The names of the two infants who were tragically Niftar in the horrific daycare disasterin Jerusalem’s Romema neighborhood have been released.
The victims are Leah Tzipora Golubentzitz A”H, aged three and a half months, and Ari (Aharon) Katz Z”L, aged four months. Both infants were transferred to the Abu Kabir Forensic Institute for examination. Their levayos are expected to take place later tonight.
Leah Tzipora A”H was the daughter of R’Mordechai Golubentzitz, a Talmid of Yeshivas Ateres Yisrael, and the granddaughter of HaRav Binyamin Golubentzitz of Ramat Shlomo. Her mother is Mrs. Bracha Golubentzitz, née Rolnik, from Romema.
After their marriage, the family lived in Pisgat Ze’ev and recently moved to Romema. Leah A”H is survived by her parents and a young sibling.
It was learned that her father, who works as a professional driver, was in the middle of a trip at the time of the tragedy and did not answer his phone for nearly two hours. Family members eventually reached him and delivered the devastating news.
Her mother wrote in a heartbreaking message: “My Leah, thank you for being mine. Your soul will be inside me forever. Baruch Dayan HaEmes.”
The second infant, Ari Katz Z”L, was just four months old and had arrived at the daycare for the very first time that day. He was the son of R’ Yaakov Katz. His mother, Mrs. Chana Katz, née Eisenbach of Jerusalem, is the owner of the “Tachshik” jewelry store on Shamgar Street.
