A small number of people numbering in the tens held a protest outside Knesset on Monday. They set up a cage and surrounding it were chairs with photos of Israel’s 120 MKs, expressing outrage over the apathy regarding the prolonged captivity of Shalit by the nation’s lawmakers.
IDF soldier Gilad Shalit was taken captive in a Hamas cross-border attack in Kerem Shalom in June 2006. He is believed held in Gaza but no one including representatives of the International Red Cross have seen him since he was taken captive.
