๐Ÿšจ 2 Female IDF Soldiers Rescued From Rioting Mob In Bnei Brak; HaRav Yosef: “Expel Rioters From The Camp” [VIDEOS]

The usually quiet Chagai Street in Bnei Brak turned into a mob scene on Sunday after two female military police officers arrived in the area and rumors spread that they were distributing draft orders.

An angry crowd of over a thousand people quickly grew as the two soldiers were surrounded and chased from the area. Police arrived and rescued them as the crowd grew.

A police vehicle was overturned on HaRav Shach Street, and a police motorbike was set on fire. The police later discovered a burned siddur and tefillin in the storage compartment of the motorbike, which belonged to a frum officer.

The IDF later clarified that the soldiers were not connected to the military police and were visiting a soldier at his home as part of their role in the Education and Youth Corps.

Police say that over 12 protesters involved in the confrontation and rioting have been arrested. โ€œThe police view the events in Bnei Brak with great severity. We are acting firmly against those who disturb the peace, utilizing appropriate measures and carrying out arrests.โ€

One of those arrested was a Chareidi woman.

Former Chief Rabbi HaRav Yosef Yitzchak responded by saying, โ€œOne must strongly condemn the handful of rioters who make a Chillul Hashem. The Torah teaches that its ways are ways of pleasantness and all its paths are peace ื“ืจื›ื™ ื ื•ืขื ื•ื›ืœ ื ืชื™ื‘ื•ืชื™ื” ืฉืœื•ื. There is no place for their behavior among us. They must be denounced and expelled from the camp.โ€

UTJ chairman Yitzchak Goldknopf said that he was โ€œshocked by the footage and condemns the violence against security forces, which is against the Torahโ€”ื“ืจื›ื™ื” ื“ืจื›ื™ ื ืขื.”

Prime Minister Netanyahu released the following statement: “I strongly condemn the violent disturbances in Bnei Brak directed at IDF female soldiers and Israel Police officers. This is an extremist minority that does not represent the broader Chareidi community. This is a grave and unacceptable act. We will not allow anarchy, and we will not tolerate any harm to IDF servicemembers or security forces who carry out their duties with dedication and determination.”

Shas chairman Aryeh Deri stated, “The Shas movement strongly condemns the acts of violence, vandalism, and rioting carried out by a small group of extremists in Bnei Brak. These actions are completely contrary to the path of the Torah, harm the broader Chareidi ืฆื™ื‘ื•ืจ, cause a Chilul Hashem, and inflict serious damage on the just struggle on behalf of the ืขื•ืœื ื”ืชื•ืจื”.”

โ€œLeave our camp!โ€

Yisrael Beytenu chairman Avigdor Lieberman said, “We can’t expect the ‘draft dodger’ government to condemn or act against this violence. In the next government, we’ll treat these rioters like terrorists!”

Naftali Bennett also slammed the protestors, writing, “A bright red line was crossed here…. we will restore governance to Israel.”

The IDF released the following statement condemning the mob attack: “The Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, views with utmost severity and strongly condemns the assault on IDF female soldiers who were carrying out a military mission earlier today in Bnei Brak. Any attack on IDF soldiers carried out by Israeli civilians constitutes a serious red line being crossed and must be dealt with firmly. The Chief of Staff expects that the attackers will be brought to justice.”

The Charedi community remains on edge as military police continue arresting Charedim for refusing to respond to IDF draft notices.

President Isaac Herzog wrote, “I am following with deep concern the serious events in Bnei Brak. Violence against security forces is a direct blow to the security of the state. There is noโ€”and will be noโ€”legitimacy for attacking IDF soldiers.”

“The IDF is the peopleโ€™s army. Our soldiers, women and men alike, are the sons and daughters of us all, from every part of Israeli society. The assault on IDF female soldiers carried out by a fringe group of extremists is a grave and unacceptable act, and I strongly condemn it.”

  1. Go get those pork eaters. They made Chareidi soldiers do push-ups in middle of davening. Beat the daylights out of these machsefas.

  2. “The IDF later clarified that the soldiers were not connected to the military police and were visiting a soldier at his home as part of their role in the Education and Youth Corps.”

So the soldier living in Bnei Braq was frei or Chareidi? A non-frum person does not live in Bnei Braq so I’m deducting he was frum… so you have 2 women visiting a frum soldier in Bnei Braq at his home “as part of their role in the Education and Youth Corps”. The army is treif, period. They need to leave the Chareidim alone!

  3. Why must TheYeshivaWorld post this story depicting ืงืœื•ื ื ืฉืœ ื™ืฉืจืืœ! Why not put our face down into our hands in shame! No doubt the secular media will promote this for next 100 days. Must we also! Such embarrassment! Please editor, take it down! Please!

  5. Bibi: “We will not allow anarchy,…” but does allow stalinist dictatorship!
Lieberman: “rioters โ€œare not Jews; they are terrorists.” hear who is talking about who are Jews! The one who wants to flood Israel with Russian Goyim registering them as Jews!
Military Police who arrest a Bochur in the middle of his father’s Shiva and another Bochur who went home to recuperate with high temperature, and many more for the sole crime of wanting to learn Torah and to protect themselves from the filthy, indecent and immoral army, they are “Jews”.
I don’t condone the riots, but where was a similar outcry against the Kaplan protests?

  6. Those guys would make good soldiers! IyH they will take a post fighting our enemies with the same intensity that they fight our soldiers.

  7. Imagine someone opening a food cart vendor on the streets of Bnei Brak selling pork.

This story is much worse. With the Chazer vendor you could at least ignore him (although he certainly wouldn’t be ignored.) Over here where women in the military is Kneged Halacha and women dressed like men is Kneged Halacha, you can’t even ignore their spitting in Hashem’s face, as they’re right in everyone’s face.

Of course this offense wasn’t ignored by Torah Jews.

  8. Which leftist commander sent in these two women soldiers go incite the Bnei Brak people. They were looking for trouble so they got it.

  9. A secular anti-frum group looking to incite against the frum world could not get better propaganda and win more people to their side with something other than this that they made themselves. . Not even if they paid millions of dollars for it. Few people have done more for the anti frum causes and shmad in Eretz Yisroel than those involved in this and other violent protests. It’s highly possible that female soldiers in a military police car were sent to Bnei Brak because the anti frum zealots knew what an easy way it would be get the frum zealots (aka kanoim) to do their dirty work and heavy lifting for them.

I’m saying as someone who would regard violence against military police while they are actually actively arresting Yeshiva Bochurim as legitimate resistance if there a chance of preventing it

This is the way the are fighting back, dirty!!! The fight the army began. Unfortunately this is the ONLY language they understand.

Had these wild chevra not protest like this, you would have 100s of Bochrim arrested in the darkness of the night. The female police should go scream at the army and the all talk do nothing Prime Minister, for allowing this to go on.
Deri should think twice before he talks. He helped put a stop to the judicial reform, he did not put his foot down to protect the Bochrim either.

  11. Who are the wicked people who run this website? There are no charedi mobs attacking women. You sit there in America. You have no idea what goes on in Israel. I have seen 100 protests. every time the police start the violence. Thereโ€™s no rioting. Nobody is burning buildings, breaking into stores. The police are violent. A few people fight back a little. Are you religious? Side with your brothers, not with the secular state.

  12. with the the entire chareidi tzibbur on edge day and night, due to the evil redifah by the malchus ha’reshaa
upon this backdrop i do not think you will hear too many rabbonim or gedolim publicly condemning this, even if at another time they would condemn it. but in the current atmosphere my belief is that they will not.

    we will soon find out.

  13. >>>Who are the wicked people who run this website? There are no charedi mobs attacking women. You sit there in America…

Given how many comments right here strongly support this behavior (from their safety elsewhere) there is no way I’m going to believe that terrorism and street thuggery isn’t a serious problem that is engaged in among certain subgroups of Chariedi society

  14. Mr herzogs statement begins

  15. More provocations – beating Jews seems to be the national hobby. Beit Shemesh, Jerusalem, Bnei Brak, Amona, Binyamin, Gush Etzion – wherever there are Jews – and it doesn’t really matter the reason – could be not wearing a mask, or just praying – you can you find those videos – or simply being a bystander and having water tanks with toxins aimed at you or having stun grenades thrown at you for just being – Jewish. This cannot continue. Time to separate the tribes – it’s back to Judah and Israel. No more of this. It is way overdue.

  16. >>>Imagine someone opening a food cart vendor on the streets of Bnei Brak selling pork. etc. (UJM)

For perspective, the people who want to ban Tefillin stands in secular areas think exactly the same way you do. Had you been born on their side you probably would have been one of them. So next time you hear about them, be a little more understanding… But even they oppose violence towards those who set up set up teffilin and would never commits such acts of violence and terrorism towards those who do so.

  17. Itโ€™s time to create a haredi political party that is pro army under strict conditions.
It is also time to stop donating to those Rabbis and institutions that are inciting such hatred towards the army.
Itโ€™s time the leading Rabbis wake up.

  18. Waiting to hear a vast majority of Rabbis condemn this despicable behavior of so called yeshiva boys acting like jungle animals.

This is utterly gross and embarrassing behavior of the “hareidim” in Bnei Brak

And yet, we love to jump all over fellow Jews who we disagree with, quick to use any ammo we can get our hands on to prove our own views.

    A little hypocritical, no?

Are you serious? These amazing soldiers are saving YOUR life everyday!! Unfortunately that means they must wear clothes that make their job easier. There is also no issur m’dioraysa that they cannot wear such clothes (makes are not allowed to wear female clothes min hatorah)and for pikuach nefesh purposes are allowed. You are displaying sinas chinam at its finest. Your Torah learning means nothing to HKBH if you act like this and call other Yidden, shiksas. Go to your Rebbi, show him your post and ask him if it was appropriate and how you should behave in the future. I wish you much hatzlacha in your mussar learning as well as your gemorrah learning.

  26. >>>smerel: You posted that you blocked Yeshiva World on your Internet filter. Did your filter break down?

Mr. UJM I already answered you in the past that my filter blocks the YWN coffee room. It does not block the entire site.

  27. You send shiksas into Bnei Brak dressed like men. What do you expect we religious Jews should sit by and do nothing. It was enough Jews marched into gas chambers bring tricked they were showers. We the new generation of Torah Jews will not be tricked into converting or assimilating by the secular pork eating Zionist bums. They will not fool us. We know h to either tricks. Didnโ€™t you all read on YWN how the pork eating army elite forced Chareidim soldiers to undress and also made them do push-ups in middle of davening. We are not stupid. And the comment that someone made that these young boys should join the army and how good their passion for fighting would be. Dead wrong. The soldiers in Israel fight with their hands tied behind their backs. If they mistakingly shoot an Arab in Gaza who is not Hamas he goes to jail. He is forced to enter buildings full of terrorists and stand to get shot.instead the army elite leftist want to kill the Chareidi soldiers as a way to reduce Chareidim. Thatโ€™s why forty per cent of the dead were religious soldiers. Why donโ€™t they just bomb a whole building full of terrorists. Their goal is to wipe out Chareidim physically or spiritually. Satmar rebbe was right.

  28. Let’s say the female soldiers were wrong. Does that permit violence? There is nothing in all the Torah that I learned from my rebbes that considers this okay. Today’s chareidi world has a mob mentality that allows for blocking traffic, destroying things, and making a chilul Hashem in the name of kano’us. I completely reject all of it. Lately, several Gedolim proclaimed that protests should not be followed, advising their talmidim to refrain from them. Did these yeshivishe thugs get the soldiers to change their dress? Did this result in a settlement with IDF and the draft issue? The disgusting behavior of the thugs has no justification.

  29. The state should build and expand their network of mental institutions for these people. They’re a bunch of control freaks with no life who manifest their megalomania in religious terms. Anyone is free to leave Israel at any time.
P.S. If Zionism is ืขื‘ื•ื“ื” ื–ืจื” and is the main force in Israel, isn’t Israel an ืขื™ืจ ื”ื ื™ื“ื—ืช which people should leave if not ืขื•ื‘ื“ื™ ืข”ื–?

  31. We must learn from the Black people how they got their freedom in America. It was only one way through violence. Had they been peaceful they would still be sitting in the back of the bus and getting picked on by the white racist police. Enough is enough. These protests put fear into the secular pork eating politicians because they know every year our numbers increase and we will take over. Time is on our side. We must continue our holy fight. The land of israel must be cleaned out from chillul shabbos, pork stores, tattoo shops, gay parades, secular public schools, mixed beaches, non tzniyos clothing shops. We can do it. We need dedicated highly idealistic youth.

This comment is almost funny because it is repeating and following the Zionist ideology of 100 years down to the last detail. As recently as a year ago I saw a major Orthodox anti-Zionist theoretician and propagandist still make fun of Menachem Begin for saying “I’m not a weak kneed Jew” (though of course he left off his ending and beginning which was “My parents were killed by the Nazis may grandparents were killed in the Russian pogroms I’m not a weak kneed Jew who waits for the world to save us when they never did so for my parents of grandparents generations”

But in general I’ll say that I’m not so old. Yet I’ve seen in my lifetime the more extreme anti-Zionists go from making fun of the Zionists with the slogan of ื”ึทืงึผึนืœึ™
ืงึฃื•ึนืœ ื™ึทึฝืขึฒืงึนึ”ื‘ ื•ึฐื”ึทื™ึผึธื“ึทึ–ื™ึดื ื™ึฐื“ึตึฅื™ ืขึตืฉื‚ึธึฝื• to clearly agreeing and adopting the Zionist viewpoint that ื™ึผึธื“ึทึ–ื™ึดื ื™ึฐื“ึตึฅื™ ืขึตืฉื‚ึธึฝื• is the way they deal with things…

  33. This morning when I woke up and saw how a pork eating policemanโ€™s car was turned over by idealistic yeshiva boys I did a dance across my bedroom. My wife asked me what happened. I told her the good news. Slowly mossiach is coming closer as bt we get rid of the evil destroying Israel. As we flex our religious muscles and fight these erev rav. I think Iโ€™m going to blow up the picture of this police car and post it on my bedroom wall. The joy is great here in Brooklyn among us religious yidden.

  34. Yaakov avenu prepared three things when fighting Esav. Presents to bribe him ,prayers, and war. In Israel you canโ€™t bribe the politicians because you see how they end up in trouble. Prayers we do every day and pray for demise of the secular Torah hating government. Now we need to do war.

  35. @Flatbush yid
I am genuinely curious. If you were around for the machlokes between Rav Yochanan ben Zakkai and the baryonim in the time of the Churban, who’s side would you have been on?

The next article says R Landau and R Hirsh saying it is asur to approach places of demonstrations. So, those who continue doing it (after the psak) are demonstratively (sic!) against the daas Torah. Hope the readers here reconsider and post a retraction.

  38. Flatbush yid, you are an am ha’aretz and a motzi shem rah. First, in a time of michemet mitvah even a kallah mei’chupasah must go to fight. Second, calling Jewish girls shiksas is clear motzi shem rah. you are beneath contempt.

    I AGRERE: IzoBar says:

Reading the comments here and I despair.

The number of misguided idiots who think their radical positions are FRUM, is a ziuf HaTorah.

  39. To the liberal-minded ones out there clucking their tongues at the *wild* orthodox who are *violent* and *should be reprimanded* – you have no idea what has been going on since 1948 and the very underpinnings of zionism and the ideology and antisemetism itself that has forged the state of Israel. Go find Herzl’s statements about baptising the Jews, about his true feelings about Judaism, how Israel was to be the Switzerland of the Middle East, where flags would replace tzitzit, national anthems would replace prayers and the Torah would be replaced with Zionist dictates and Supreme Court rulings. No longer would there be a Jewish people, there would be an Israeli people, on paper and for diaspora support they would cry Jewish oppression but behind the scenes they were the provokers and the schemers, because the faith of the people was thwarted away from the secular and profane and in that – total control was not yet theirs. So little by little they hedged their way into the enclaves, into the Orthodox communities, here paring it down, there watering it down till clear boundaries were blurred. Then more violence and more incitements. There is so much a people can take -and they’ve taken more than anyone could, any other people would have revolted 30 years ago, but they maintained dignity in spite of it all. There’s come a time when a change must come – a new reality to be birthed and a new understanding becomes clear. We are there, that time is now – there must be a separation between the 2 – the seculars will have their state and the Jews of Torah must establish the Kingdom of Hashem on the Land of Israel.

  40. >>>We are there, that time is now โ€“ there must be a separation between the 2 โ€“ the seculars will have their state and the Jews of Torah must establish the Kingdom of Hashem on the Land of Israel.

Mr. bluekatchins Do you grasp the irony of your comment? In essence you are no less of a Zionist than Herzl and Jabotinsky you just have a different vision than them about what type of state you would like to establish.

Back in the 1930s Rav Chaim Ozer Grodzensky told Rav Yosef Elyah Henkin that from a torah perspective there is no difference between Zionism and extreme anti-Zionism. (see the back of Kisvey Rav Yoseh Elya Henkin for more on that.) Chochom Adif M’Novi. There is no accusation leveled against the Zionists by the extreme anti-Zionists that they can not be said about some of them too. Not the Gimmel Shovuas, not hisgarus B’Umos, not helping those who murder Yidden etc, Not even Shmad. I’m told that various very anti-frum groups donate to those who organize these type of protest because of how much it does for their anti-frum agenda. And if it isn’t true? Well, that means they are working for them for free…

  41. To smerel
Itโ€™s not any anti Frum groups donating a red cent to these protests. The Mossad intelligence units want these protests as it plays well in countries like Iran. I will not go into more but hamaven yovin. Now there is another secret about certain protests especially shabbos. The organizers behind the scenes dont really care to close down certain establishments on shabbos especially if they are not kosher all the way. The goal is to give activity to the non learning boys who would otherwise just hang out on the streets with wrong company. The prime minister loves these protests as it keeps the focus off him. He pushes through another day the media is off his back. Lieberman loves it too despite his son and daughter being Chareidi baalei tsuvas. He needs to keep his voters happy as if he is the leader for their non kosher lifestyle.

  42. And if the secular American Jewish leaders are embarrassed of Chareidim being shown worldwide in these protests let them tell the israeli government to stop drafting Chareidim and start increasing funding for Chareidim.

  43. I know that the secular Jewish reporters read the YWN news every day to keep up with orthodox Jewish activity. It drives them crazy some of them seeing Jews right wing and fighting to enhance Chareidi power. It means the demise of their secular temples and the growth of black hatted Judaism. They are embarrassed of their goyisha neighbors and coworkers when they are asked by them if they are your people. It puts them on the spot.

  44. “The next article says R Landau and R Hirsh saying it is asur to approach places of demonstrations. ”

It doesn’t say that. It says “It is strictly forbidden under any circumstances to participate in or be present among those who are going to places *****where there is confrontation with the police*****.”

  45. Second, calling Jewish girls shiksas is clear motzi shem rah.

Only if they are “Oseh Maasei Amcha”. Pants wearing Chayalot can All Pi Rov be assumed that they are NOT Oseh Maasei Amcha and Motzi Shem Ra does NOT apply

Itโ€™s horrifying,โ€ he said.

  48. Okay, I’m a Christian, and have what might be a good question. But I can’t learn if I don’t ask.

  50. A Jew should not raise a hand against a Jew! Especially against women! Even if you don’t like the way they live, perhaps being kind to the soldiers would influence them to follow the right path! Maybe they are already shomer Shabbos? What these people have done in Bnei Brak is to validate to secular Jews is that”frum Jews” are violent and unmerciful! Mean/Cruel, an act which pushes Jews away from Yiddishkeit, not to mention that SINAT CHINAM causes immense harm to Klal Yisroel!! WE are not Hashem and do not know what is in the hearts of anyone! WE should judge each Jew for the good. I am absolutely appalled by what went on in Bnei Brak to try to lynch 2 young women soldiers!! The Chariedi community needs to make amends for this!

  51. The sad part is that I cannot discern as to which side of this conflict is right?
The rabbis have agitated their talmidim to the point where they have become uncontrollable. On the other hand, the police, military officers, etc. are treating the bochurim with a very heavy and violent hand.

MR Wackywack Frist of all , no, she never taught that . Secondly if you are right then it means all the criticisms of the Zionists on this issue was inherently wrong. At a time when Jewish blood was flowing like water they certainly were right to say “we need a method of self defense” If the more extreme anti-Zionist elements in the frum world were wrong then, in their fights with the Zionists why do you trust them to be right today?

  53. To ZekeB the Christian fellow who asked if these Jews protesting are orthodox and how can they claim military exemption as the Bible certainly shows Jews in battle. You ask a very good question. The answer is the Israeli army is not orthodox. That means they allow girls, gays and trans to join. The goal of the army elite is to destroy the religious observance of Orthodox Jews. You ask a very good question after all itโ€™s officially a Jewish army. Itโ€™s Jewish in name only but itโ€™s goal is to be a cultural Jewish without belief in G-d and the Bible. Orthodox Jews dont have a problem being in an army as long as itโ€™s run in a religious atmosphere. In twenty five years when most of Israel will be observant and the prime minister will be a leading rabbi the army will be orthodox as well.
