An explosive drone struck an apartment housing Israeli residents near one of the sites of the Israeli mission in Abu Dhabi on Sunday.

Two Israelis, a woman and a child, were lightly injured by the blast wave.

According to a report by Kan News, Israeli officials expressed concern over the nature of the strike, given that it occurred on Emirati soil.

Earlier on Sunday, reports from Abu Dhabi mentioned injuries caused by attacks in the area, as well as injuries in Dubai resulting from debris of intercepted UAVs that were shot down over Emirati airspace.

Anwar Gargash, senior adviser to UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed, issued a warning message to Iran: “An attack on the Emirates or on any other Gulf nation is a crossing of red lines,” he said. “We will not sit idly by and accept strikes on our territory.”

He added: “You are not at war with your neighbors. This action isolates Iran, which today urgently needs the involvement of Gulf countries to contain and limit the war’s spread. This reflects shortsightedness and fosters hostility that will last for years, reviving the mistrust Gulf states had previously worked hard to bridge with Iran.”
