A sharp disagreement has emerged between Vice President JD Vance and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, following a tense phone call this week regarding the war with Iran, according to Axios.
U.S. officials say Vance challenged Netanyahu’s earlier assessments about how achievable regime change in Iran would be.
“Before the war, Bibi really sold it to the president as being easy, as regime change being a lot likelier than it was. And the VP was clear-eyed about some of those statements,” a U.S. official told Axios.
The report also points to growing unease in Washington, with one official accusing Israel of trying to sideline Vance as he plays a key role in ceasefire negotiations.
“It’s an Israeli op against JD,” the official said, though Axios notes there is no evidence of such claims.
Another senior official emphasized Vance’s central role in diplomacy:
“If the Iranians can’t strike a deal with Vance, they don’t get a deal. He’s the best they’re gonna get,” the official said.

Axios is a left wing outlet. This report pushes the old canard (made famous by Tucker Carlson) that Bibi misled Trump into the war. And it even admits it has no evidence!

Trump is moving ground troops to Iran. This is very dangerous for Jews if American troops will end up in Iran. People need to wake up! The imminent threat of Iran producing nuclear weapons is a farce. Their production was stopped indefinitely by previous bombings of their production facilities as well as the cyber attacks and elimination of key scientists working on their nuclear production. This a political war, period!

Both of the first two of those you mentioned explicitly condemned antisemitism. The third implied the same, and the fourth has also explicitly stated that he intends to keep safe the Jews in his city.

It’s interesting that people like philosopher think that they know better than the people on the ground like Bibi, the Mossad and other Israeli security people. And as Bibi pointed out this week.
