The High Court on Monday rejected an appeal by Dr. David Shamit, a psychiatrist holding the rank of major in the IDF reserves.

Shamit was convicted of contacting enemy agents and seeking to harm state security, having offered Iranian agents information in exchange for payment. He was sentenced to five years in prison.
