5th Confirmed Swine Flu Victim in Eretz Yisrael

sfy.jpgA 59-year-old Nahariya woman has become Israel’s fifth confirmed case of swine flu on Wednesday. What is interesting, and perhaps alarming, is the fact that she becomes the first victim of the illness who was not in Mexico.

She was however among the passengers on board Iberia flight 3752, from Madrid to Israel, landing in Tel Aviv’s Ben-Gurion International Airport on May 2nd. Another passenger on the flight, a 20-year-old female, began showing flu symptoms earlier in the week.

As was reported earlier, the passengers on that flight were requested by health officials in Israel to remain at home in voluntary quarantine for a week.
