Livni: No Agreement Regarding Settlements Blocs

Opposition leader Tzipi Livni, who served as foreign minister in the previous administration, told Galei Tzahal (Army Radio) on Sunday morning that no definitive decision was reached between Jerusalem and former US President George W. Bush, explaining an effort was made to define boundaries of settlement blocs with the understanding construction in those centralized communities would continue.

Livni warned that if the Israeli government does not come around and accept the two-state solution as is being demanded by the White House, Israel’s interests will be compromised, stating at the end of the day, Israel wishes to keep as many residents as possible under her sovereignty.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton released a message over the weekend that she is unaware of any agreement between the previous administrations regarding continued settlement construction.
