A Quiet Shabbos in Yerushalayim

gavad1.jpgAfter a number of months of stormy shabbos protests, this past shabbos presented a different scenario, compliance with the kol korei of Eida Gavaad HaRav Tuvia Weiss Shlita.

A large protest was held on Shivtei Yisrael on shabbos afternoon. Police were standing by at Karta parking lot, assuming the entire tzibur may not adhere to Rav Weiss’ words, but it appears nothing spilled over to the Karta area and the violence seen in past weeks was absent this shabbos. Participants in the event, numbering 1,000 or more, dispersed as shabbos ended, without incident. There were no confrontations with police and no arrests.

  1. I was wondering, if the Israeli police/ judiciala system/ media is so bad and so anti charedi, Why are they trying to get the boys that are in Japan transfferred to Israel so that they should be under the tzionim? “Eloh mai” it must be that when you behave like a mentch to the Israelis, they behave like a mentch to you.
