Defense Minister Ehud Barak advises to move ahead with caution following this week�s row surrounding Turkey�s refusal to permit the IAF to take part in multinational military exercises. The minister stated that despite the events of this week, we must remember that Turkey is a major factor in our region.

Barak suggested that inflammatory statements be avoided despite Turkey�s position on the multinational military exercise, explaining the relationship between the two countries is far more than superficial and too important to be discarded hastily.
