Haifa Mayor Yonah Yahav visited the home of Maran Rishon L�Tzion HaRav Ovadia Yosef Shlita, accompanied by Rav Avraham Weizman, who heads the Haifa Local Religious Council. The meeting focused on ongoing efforts to construct a sephardi talmud torah in Haifa, who have been learning under harsh conditions for years.

Mayor Yahav explained the necessary funds have been allocated and a spacious building will be constructed.

Rav Weizman also discussed ongoing efforts to refurbish the city�s ancient cemetery in coordination with Religious Affairs Minister Yaakov Margi.
