Israeli Arab Community to Protest Gag Order

Hundreds of members of the Israeli Arab community protested on Monday in the Wadi Nisnas area of Haifa in response to a new security case impacting the Israeli Arab community. The protests were organized by Arab human rights organizations, demanding the court-imposed gag order on the case be lifted, insisting the gag order represents a blatant violation of the rights of Israeli Arabs involved in the case.

According to officials in the Arab Israeli Monitoring Committee, the gag order is simply part of the plot targeting the Israeli Arab community, with some Israeli Arabs calling this the Anat Kamm 2 case, referring to the left-wing former soldiers who stole classified documents which were turned over to Haaretz correspondent Uri Blau. In that case as well, a gag order prevented reporting on the case in Israel while the details were released to the world on the internet.
