Overnight, an IDF force identified a number of armed Palestinians near the security fence in the Northern Gaza Strip. An IAF aircraft, accompanied by an IDF ground force using tank shells, fired towards the militants, identifying a hit. No casualties were caused amongst IDF forces.

Since the beginning of 2010, approximately 100 different terror-related incidents took place near the security fence surrounding the Gaza Strip, an average of an incident every three days.
