The  highly regarded head of Icholov Medical Center’s Intensive Care Department Professor Patrick Sorkin has decided to join United Hatzalah. The obviously frum, bearded motorcycle-riding professor of emergency medicine is used to challenging peoples expectations.

He mentioned to United Hatzalah senior staff that he is proud to join the organization that has likewise challenged people’s conception of frum people.

He plans to introduce more leaders of Israel’s emergency medicine community to United Hatzalah so that they too can create greater good in the world of emergency medicine in Israel and the social fabric of Israel’s often fragmented society.
