Court: Yigal Amir To Remain In Solitary Confinement

Yigal Amir, who assassinated Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin, will remain in solitary confinement, the Petah Tikva District Court ruled. The ruling will be reexamined in July.

A hearing on the matter was held following an appeal by Amir.

According to a Wednesday report in Yedioth Ahronoth, the court accepted the Israeli Prison Service and State Prosecutor’s stance that Amir is still a security risk. Both maintain that should Amir be allowed to have contact with other prisoners, he may try and spread his radical doctrine.

  1. What kind of mazal can a Jewish state have when they put a jewish murderer in solitary confinement, even for davening, and let countless, unrepentent, arab murderers go free in the name of “making peace”.

  2. Keeping a man in solitary confinement for so long is precisely the kind of sadistic cruelty that DOES “spread the radical doctrine” of the need to get rid of the terrible leftist chiloni government in power.

  3. how can his political insight be dangerous? interesting.. i’d like to know more about what they are so afraid he can say.

  4. the need to get rid of the terrible leftist chiloni government in power.

The alternative governments are even further left. (I’m not necessarily disagreeing with your comment though.)

  5. His Royal Highness…

And likewise, I agree with you that the CURRENT alternatives could, in fact, be even worse.

That’s why we all have to overcome all our excuses and get ourselves to Eretz Yisrael.
An influx of even 50,000 yirai Shamayim (and, of course, even more would be so much better) could have a MAJOR impact on the direction in which the country will head.

  6. Git Meshige (#4)…

There are a LOT of questions and inconsistancies about the Rabin murder.
It is NOT so clear cut.
Even IF Amir did pull the trigger, there was much more to it.
More, like possible involvement of others in the government, that will probably not come out for many more years, if ever.

  7. Why is it that Jewish Conspiracy Theorists get a pass and those other ones like the loony left kooks are considered carzy?

  8. There is no question that the real reason is not dissemination of rightist ideas, which is a stupid and illegal reason. The real reason is probably their fear of him revealing information that some high officials want unknown.

  9. Even if there were inconsistencies and conspiracies, the man is still a rotzeach. Hakol kol Yaakov vehayadayim yedei Eisav. He took it in his hands to take another Jewish life. That is beyond the pale, no matter which Shin Bet, or left wing meshugeneh organization may have been trying to set up whomever. Politics and injustice don’t change the fact that he picked up a gun and fired it to kill another Yid.

  10. BS”D

The man who really pulled the trigger is in Beit HaNassi. Still this lowlife had no business participating in the conspiracy.

Some say Rabin would have changed course had he seen how awful the yishmoelim were at keeping their word. That, and discrediting the right, were probably why the even bigger lowlife behind Amir wanted Rabin gone.
