Edan Alexander, who spent 584 days in Hamas captivity before being released in May, has been promoted to sergeant first class by Maj. Gen. Dado Bar Kalifa. Alexander came to Israel to serve in the Golani Brigade and was abducted from an army post near Nirim on October 7, 2023. Since his release, he has expressed his determination to continue serving in the IDF.
