Former UK prime minister Tony Blair will not head the Gaza peace council President Trump is forming, the Financial Times reports.

* Blair took part in early discussions, but several Arab and Muslim states opposed his appointment.

* He is now expected to join a smaller executive committee instead.

* The committee will be led by Nickolay Mladenov, with Blair sitting alongside Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff.
