The Moscow Times reports that Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law permitting the seizure of homes in Russian-occupied Ukrainian territories if their owners fled during the war.

Under the new legislation, houses, apartments, and rooms �showing signs of being ownerless property� can be declared the property of local municipalities or regional authorities.
