Around 3:15 p.m. Thursday, the FDNY responded to a three-alarm fire at 21-07 147th Street in Queens. No injuries were reported, and more than 190 firefighters and EMS personnel were on the scene.
Deputy Assistant Chief Joseph Schiralli said crews arrived within four minutes and believe the fire began in a trash can in an alleyway before spreading up the siding and extending to a neighboring home. The fire was brought under control by 4:32 p.m. Fire marshals are investigating the cause.
