Federal Judge Allows $5B Empire Wind Project Off Long Island to Resume

A federal judge ruled that the $5B Empire Wind project off Long Island can resume construction after the Trump administration tried to halt it.

* Judge Carl Nichols said the stop-work order would cause “irreparable harm.”

* The Interior Department had paused the project over unspecified national security concerns.

* Equinor said the project is 60% complete and delays could cost it over $1B.
