The Trump administration has turned down efforts by Middle Eastern allies to open diplomatic negotiations aimed at ending the war with Iran, according to Reuters.

•⁠ ⁠A senior White House official said President Trump wants military operations to continue in order to further degrade Iran’s capabilities and is not interested in talks at this time.

•⁠ ⁠Iran has also rejected a ceasefire unless U.S. and Israeli strikes stop, while mediation attempts by Oman and Egypt have so far failed.
