FLATBUSH: Special Sanitation Schedule, Chametz Dumpsters Announced

The FJCC has released a special sanitation update ahead of Pesach, outlining expanded trash collection and designated chametz disposal locations for residents.

Residents may place additional material out this week on their regular collection days, following the standard trash, compost, and recycling schedule.

For the supplemental pickup on April 1:

•⁠ ⁠Place trash, compost, and recycling at the curb beginning Tuesday evening, March 31
•⁠ ⁠Collection will take place on Wednesday

A special hotline has also been established by the Department of Sanitation:

Available Wednesday, April 1, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM for reporting collection issues

Chametz dumpsters are currently available at the following locations:

•⁠ ⁠Bedford Ave. and Ave. L
•⁠ ⁠Ave. P and E. 27 St.
•⁠ ⁠2810 Nostrand Ave.
•⁠ ⁠3302 Ave. P
•⁠ ⁠Ave. L between Nostrand and E. 31 St.

Residents are reminded:

•⁠ ⁠No commercial waste permitted
•⁠ ⁠No burning materials allowed

Officials expressed appreciation to Assemblyman Kalman Yeger, city and state representatives, the Department of Sanitation, and Community Boards 12, 14, 15, and 18 for coordinating the special arrangements.
