Golani Brigade troops secretly crossed the Litani River and operated for three consecutive days deep inside southern Lebanon, uncovering Hezbollah tunnels, launch positions, weapons sites, and underground infrastructure meant for a future infiltration attack into northern Israel.
The IDF said Hezbollah fighters waited for the troops in dense, explosive-rigged terrain, leading to close-range fighting. Two Golani soldiers were lightly wounded, while the military says dozens of Hezbollah terrorists were killed, and the Air Force struck more than 100 targets during the operation.
