Italy Investigates Possible Terror Motive After Modena Car-Ramming and Stabbing Attack

Italian authorities are continuing to investigate after 31-year-old Salim El Koudri allegedly drove at high speed through Via Emilia in Modena, striking multiple pedestrians before crashing and later allegedly stabbing a bystander who tried to stop him from fleeing.

At least eight people were injured, including a 52-year-old woman who was reportedly crushed against a storefront and remains in critical condition. Authorities say terrorism has not been ruled out, with the Bologna District Prosecutor’s terrorism unit assisting the investigation while police search for a motive.
