Police have arrested the suspect in today’s deadly stabbing at Kollel Chazohn Ish on HaAri Street following an intensive manhunt.

The victim, a 52-year-old Reb Yishai Por, z’l, one of the chashuva avreichim in the kollel. He was learning with his son when the attack occurred.

Police say the suspect fled the scene after the stabbing but was located a short time later in Beit Shemesh by officers from the Bnei Brak-Ramat Gan and Beit Shemesh police stations. Investigators say the suspect, also 52 and believed to be homeless, was acquainted with the victim.
