CENTCOM released a statement a short time ago denying a Wall Street Journal report claiming the U.S. Navy had resumed assisting or escorting commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz, saying “Project Freedom” has not resumed and U.S. forces are not currently escorting ships through the waterway.
