The IDF says it eliminated five terrorists in the Gaza Strip over the past several days, stating the strikes were carried out to remove an immediate threat to Israeli troops operating in the area.

According to the military, the terrorists were planning imminent attacks against IDF forces. Those killed include Hamas member Salem Qariqa, who was involved in bomb-making and advanced sniper attacks; Nukhba Force commander Saeed Shamali; Palestinian Islamic Jihad sniper commander Ahmad Khallas; and two additional Hamas terrorists accused of planting explosive devices targeting Israeli soldiers.
