Prime Minister Netanyahu was asked whether he can still say “no” to a friendly American president.

Netanyahu replied: “President Trump and I have known each other for many years. He is the President of the United States, and I am the Prime Minister of Israel. Many times we see eye to eye, and there are also cases where we see less eye to eye. I am responsible for Israel’s security interests, and I stand by them.”

He added that protecting those interests must be done wisely and requires significant experience, saying: “I believe I do it in the best possible way, and when necessary, I stand firm on our security interests.”
