A Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office drone helped bring a SWAT standoff to a peaceful end after deputies located an armed suspect hiding in a garage with a knife. When the suspect refused to respond, a drone operator used a magnet attached to the drone to remove the knife from his hand, allowing deputies to safely approach and take him into custody without a dangerous confrontation.
